Three more days and we are off to Thailand. I am really really looking forward to the first week of our trip (notice I didnt say the next week ><) haha...

Its been so long since we spend our time together and since the very first day in OSLE till now, I have always love this OSLE group. We are all bonded together, working together as a group, enjoy as a group, suffer (due to proposal) as a group, and survive as a group.

Its a big thank you to all of you been accepting me as your team leader. I must admit that I have been through alot with all of you guys and really... I love my team alot. I know there are so unhappiness among team member towards me. I am sorry if I have offended you. Really... I don't mean it.

I hope we will shine as a individual, as a Exodusian, as Project Denovo member.

What is a proposal?

Accorrding to Mr Moa, it is a plan whereby a person can pick it up and excute it.

A proposal should be as detailed as possible. It can be so detailed such that when a outsider read it, he can organize the event EXACTLY the way you want it to be. The pointers that my ALs and me have given to you all are merely to aid you in preparaing your proposal. So, please don't get turned off if we have given you guys ALOT of suggestions....

And Guys... don't see SOLOs as a 'task' just to be completed for the sake of completing. Use the SOLOs that you have set for the event to guide you in your planning. Therefore, it is important that you set meaningful and significant SOLOs as it will affect the event.

Saw something just now. With regards to the issue, maybe one was being too petty, or maybe one went overboard. Which is it? It's public, so where to draw the line? Or how about we focus on finding a solution? Either way, the problem could have been highlighted with a pleasant tone.

GREAT JOB THIS MORNING PEOPLE! =D

It was really heartwarming to see all of you trying so hard to get the dance steps. I believe that many of you are actually 1st time dancers. I must admit, it is really not easy.

Hmm, but I noticed that some of you are pretty shy. Don't worry, everything we do in OSLE is in a very safe environment. Afterall, we're all here to learn yeah? Don't be afraid, and take a step forward. It is really a different experience. Trust me.

Feeling all frustrated that your hands and legs don't coordinate? Fret not, with practise, comes perfection. Oh no, I'm not saying that we must be perfect (the world is not round either), at least, we all seek to reach that level. =D No doubt that I started dancing since a pretty young age, but it was really tough initially (okay, even until today, wait till you see how many times i get ticked off by my instructor). Really, have faith in yourself. When you believe you can do it, you will.

I'm not sure when will be the best time for the next mass dance session. Alex was suggesting that we have another session next Saturday. How that sound? I promise, i'll keep it to 2hours, yes, it's really tiring with all that jumping around.

Lastly, if you've noticed, *evil laughs* I'd actually recorded the last dance we did today. I will upload it soon. =D

Oh, I've also noticed that those at the back could not really get the steps. I suggest that you guys exchange your positions the next time round. That is, those infront will go to the back, and those at the back will go to the front. And those who missed this session, i'll privately coach you one of these days. Don't worry =D

I will break you guys into smaller groups the next session. It'll make learning easier. I'll be selecting a few of you to lead the sub groups. Will decide on a later date =D

There are so many things we want to do, we got to do, but there is so little time to complete it. Let’s see. We have PW, OSLE, Promo, _____, ______. (Fill in the blanks yourself) Is it possible to accomplish the non exhaustive to do list? Yes if you say yes and no if you say no. Its obviously possible as people have done that before. Enough said about this.

Today there was a OSLE meeting as “advertised” before in the earlier posts. I would say the meeting was much needed. It gave us all a general idea of what needs to be done, and how we are going to get about executing it. There were quite a number of absentees due to the long break. This meeeting was concluded with Kimberly becoming the overall games I/C. Tsu hui and I were given the surprise of becoming the emcee for the camp fire night.

After the meeting, we met up with the other team, Genesis, at 5-33 where they concluded their meeting within a few minutes of our arrival. We then spent the next couple of mintues where we were going for lunch, and there was no conclusion. Talk about efficiency. Then of course there are some people who decided that they had to take the lift down. Go green people! So some of us had the fun of holding the lift at level 4 and that guaranteed those waiting for the lift a long wait. Then after we finally released the lift, we then called for the lift at every floor assuring those of a long ride down. Moral of the story, its better to take the stairs. After that we happily made our way to the back gate where we spent even more time deciding on where to go. It was finally decided that J8 would be desirable. Some of the girls saw the need to buy a drink so they left and with the extra time, we decided to make a video with a row of guys doing pull up’s side by side. Get the video from Francis if you want to see it. Lunch was spent uneventfully at the food court at J8 with pepper lunch express being the most popular choice. After which we spent the time literally hanging out at J8. Then one guy says he is leaving and then the domino effect. All leave within a span of 5 minutes. Peer pressure is evident here I guess.

I've re-recorded the mass dance video. It's completed now, and phew, I managed to execute all the steps!! Okay, nownow, before you get worked up over some explicit scene, just to let you know, i'm wearing SHORTS under my mini skirt. Yeah, so, dont get the wrong idea. HAHAHAA.

I've recorded 2 mass dances (cuz there were feedbacks that the one you saw today was too difficult). The first one will be the 'complicated' one "we're all in this together" and the second one, will be a very very much simplified cheesy retro style mass dance "that thing you do".

Enjoy.... Hmm, I think we can use the 'we're all in this together' for our performance, and 'that thing you do' to teach the kids. How's that sound?

Post National Day entry. No fun. There are so few of us around. I think most people already know who I am. But I shall be stubborn and not divulge my identity. Sure feels good to know that the blog is active with videos and other content. Especially the tag board. Even Gerald made his way here and made a comment.

Tomorrow there is a OSLE meeting. Or maybe I should say Today since its way past midnight and my bedtime. No choice as I had to rush to complete my EOM or my tutor might just give me a shelling on Monday, and I don’t fancy that. Speaking of shells, I just read on a forum that Singapore Airlines is going to offer local delights on flights out of Singapore and part of the menu consist of de shelled chilli crabs. Wonder how it will taste at 35000ft. Speaking of airlines, it reminds me of our need to think of games for the camp to teach grade 5 & 6 about travelling. Oh, I was chatting with a friend and she said brb coz she had to get water, and then I was teasing her about how long she needed to get water, and then she replied that she had to go to the kampung well to get water. I thought it was so so lame. Oh ya, I went to the National Library today, the one along Victoria Street and I went to the reference library. I found what I needed in 10mins, but my friends complain that they trawl the library for an hour and found nothing of use. Again, there is something to be learnt from this. If you are unsuccessful in doing something, consult someone, maybe the problem lies with your method. Yea, I know I have failed badly in terms of arrangement of content. It’s all so random.

This blog is very quiet. Instead of whining, I would do something about it.

I, being such a genius, figured out a solution for this blog. To make it less quiet, I thought we could add some sort of music to the blog then it won’t be so quiet…….

Ok, I admit that was really lame. But hey, I attempted to post something.

Since we are all so familiar with SOLOs, I thought I would make one for this blog.

Today I sat on the roof of my house in this funny position with my legs over my head adopted from the yoga book (that’s if you believe) and gave some thought as to why the blog was so whist. And then with the help of some logical thinking, I figured out why. When no one makes a post or a post is made so infrequently, we start to ask ourselves why bother to go to the blog. So I decided to encourage the next person who makes a post on the blog with this incentive. That is to say congratulations to that person.

To make this blog a must see, I have a solution. Go to tools>internet options>homepage and fill it with www.project-denovo.blogspot.com

I think the blog content does not have to be purely OSLE. We could post other interesting things we see on the blog.

For example:

Yesterday on my way home, I rode on this Wheel Chair Accessible bus operated by SBS Transit. Seated opposite me was this lady in her 50s and she was complaining about how lousy the interior design was. Her main gripe was the big step after the exit door on the lower deck. She then went on to blame the bus company for getting the Europeans to design the bus interior as they are generally taller, and that SBS Transit should have asked Singaporeans to design it. (She said this because the bus was a VOLVO). However, she did not realize that the bus was not designed interior was not done by VOLVO or Europeans, in fact it is made in ________, by ________. Moral of the story, don’t make assumptions. Consider all possibilities and look at things from a different perspective, and you’ll see how different things can be.

Speaking of looking at things from a different perspective, I was reminded of this Nokia poster on the wall outside Esplanade mall, and it really gives you an idea of how different point of view can yield very different results. To get there, or if you happen to pass by, walk into Esplanade mall from the side facing the Oriental Hotel, and then walk straight in and exit on the same floor at the other end. You will reach some sort of Atrium. Then on the left is the poster.

I caught the musical “King and I” on Tuesday and I would say it’s good. The musical is quite comical and of course there are lessons to be learnt from it. That is, have an open mind, readily accept others advice and opinion, and there a lots to gain from doing so. It’s running till 26 Aug with the cheapest ticket available at $40 and UOB card holders get some sort of discount.

Around the world

We will have a storyline for the game. The idea similar to that of “National Treasure”. At which the various groups are needed to travel round the globe to search for treasures at the different landmarks. They would also have passports, which is needed access to the various countries. We would make use of bad weather conditions (an effort to incorporate the topic, weather) as obstacles that would slow their progress. Most importantly, they have to overcome challenges in order to get the treasures. The treasures would be in the form of mini puzzle bits as which at the end of the game they have to piece each and every one of them together. The winning team have to complete the ultimate puzzle.
